With some additional concealer and powder action, this would be great for an outdoor summer dinner, and maybe if you want to look a bit more even at the pool/beach this could be an option. This product looks nice on the skin, but it’s really the kind of product you’d wear on a Sunday to run errands and lounge around. At least we can credit the name of this foundation because it has “ultra sheer” in its name, so there’s some confidence in the product’s honesty. I agree that this product makes you look youthful and fresh, and the formula is nice and hydrating - but oil control is minimal at best, so it’s best to powder and, it’s also not that long-lasting.

Also, with the built in sun protection, it’s great for the summer because it feels light on the skin without looking like you’ve got makeup on.

However, the coverage is very, very sheer so this may not be for everyone, and only works well on good skin days - free of looking tired/stressed and free of blemishes and bumps.

It makes your skin look even and glowy - like you were born to look this radiant. It’s very moisturizing and blends easily and beautifully onto the skin. Antioxidant vitamins B, C, and E nourish the skin’s natural renewal process and continually protect your complexion against damage caused by free radicals and environmental factors.” I’d describe this as a sheer tinted moisturizer than anything else, but Becca describes it as a “multi-benefit foundation smoothes on with a natural wash of color and an ultra-sheer, water-light texture.” It’s “formulated with broad-spectrum sun protection and anti-inflammatory ingredients,” and the “formula keeps skin looking fresh and youthful. On whim, I purchased the Becca Luminous Skin Colour Ultra Sheer Foundation SPF 25+ in “Porcelain” and it’s seriously a lovely product.ĭesigned as a “sheer moisturizing foundation with built-in sun protection and antiaging benefits,” this is very much like the modern day BB cream/CC cream but with much less coverage.

I’ve been slowly dabbling in Becca’s products and my first product was the Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+ and it’s still my favorite liquid highlighter. It’s a really quick and easy way to make the undereyes appear flawless.īECCA Cosmetics products are available at Sephora, ULTA Beauty and ’ve developed a new love for Becca and I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality of the products. Now, a serious reddened tone like Papaya is best for darker skin tones, but I found that putting this at the inner most part of my eye socket (where it’s really dark for me) and then putting the peach all over the undereye area (where it’s not as dark) made the area look the most even once the foundation was on top. I played with all of these a bit on Snapchat (mini tutorial like) when they arrived and found the perfect way to use both the Papaya and Peach correctors to conceal the darkness around my eyes. Each time I’ve worn these products the color correction lasted all day. They apply and blend in easily with the finger. The two shades that I tried are really creamy, with a slick feel. The Backlight Targeted Colour Correctors are available in four shades – Pistachio (neutralizes redness for fair to medium skintones with red undertones), Violet (neutralizes dullness for light tan/olive skintones with yellow undertones), Papaya (neutralizes deep blues and greens for tan to deep bronze skintones with blue undertones) and Peach (neutralizes dark spots and hyperpigmentation for beige to deep bronze skintones) – Papaya and Peach are shown below. This foundation is definitely best for dry skin, but if you have oily skin and aren’t into a matte all day finish you’d also like this. Wear time was only an hour or so before I was showing signs of oil but the coverage stayed well and blotting papers fixed all. For me, application worked best when I put the product on with my fingers and then buffed it in with a brush. I got it to work for me by applying a mattifying primer (focusing on my oiliest areas) and applying the foundation immediately as it was completely absorbed into my skin.

Now, my skin is super oily, so I was worried that this foundation wouldn’t play well with what I have to work with. This foundation provides a “radiant” finish and is said to be light, buildable and weightless. The Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation is available in 9 shades, Light (light with neutral undertones) is shown.

The latest faves from BECCA Cosmetics aren’t all Jaclyn Hill! You can use the Backlight Targeted Colour Corrector ($30.00 // Sephora) to correct and the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation ($44.00 // Sephora) on top to perfect! Facial trickery at it’s finest!
